As I’m writing this page, I’m so excited and happy I’ve got a chance to do what I love to do. It’s been 6 years since I started to teach people with the curiosity of “What is it like to teach people how to communicate when they know nothing about the language?” After searching for the opportunity to accomplish this passion, I finally got a chance to teach Thai language to foreigners who were living in Thailand from different countries. Being able to teach varied students from US embassy, Boeing, HP, and etc. makes me understand what it takes to be their good teacher for my students who come from everywhere around the world.
some periods of my student life, I was considered as a bad student (come on! Who has never fell asleep at a history class?) To all bad students out there, I got you! Be able to experience life with an F grade in school, I totally understand what it takes to make people like me understand a difficult subject. On the other hand, I was lucky enough to be able to study at Chulalongkorn University. Studying in a tough school really made me understood what it’s like to challenge a good student to be an excellence. Having said that, I’m 100% confident that EVERYONE can learn Thai language if they really want it. But finding the right teacher and learning method will help you succeed in Thai language better and faster.
I’ve been teaching Thai language in Bangkok and San Francisco for a quite long time. There were people who I really wanted to teach, but the distance seemed to be the big problem back then when I started. Thanks to the power and reliability of the internet, the distance doesn’t seem to be a big obstacle anymore. That inspired me to create eThaier.com with the hope of giving Thai language knowledge to people anywhere in the world. Please feel free to use the tools I’ve created for everyone who loves this beautiful language. I’ll be very welcome to hear any feedback, please go to my CONTACT page and tell me what you think. If you would like to know more about me, you can also find my projects on my Google+ and my personal website “Soothawee.com“. Let’s get in touch! 🙂
